Rivals Sniper Tier List & Guide
Everything about the Rivals Sniper: 150 crit damage, 4 mag, best scopes, and which loadout it fits. Plus fake-sniper warnings.
Rivals Sniper Tier List & Guide
The Sniper is the longest-range primary in Rivals: 75 Keys, 150 crit damage, and a 4-round mag. One clean headshot deletes most enemies. This guide ranks the Sniper against other range options and explains how to build around it.
Why the Sniper Is S Tier
No other primary matches the Sniper's 150 crit damage. At long range it wins every duel, and on open maps like Construction and Crossroads it is oppressive. The 4-round mag is small, but a Sniper rarely needs more than one shot per kill.
The catch is close range: a Sniper caught in a corridor is nearly useless, so your loadout must cover that gap.
Sniper vs Other Range Primaries
The Energy Rifle and Bow are the other mid-to-long options. The Energy Rifle is smoother and safer but lower ceiling. The Bow rewards charge shots and gives a double jump, trading raw damage for mobility.
Pick the Sniper when the map is open and your team can hold mid. Pick the Bow or Energy Rifle when you need to move more.
Building a Sniper Loadout
Pair the Sniper with a fast secondary (Uzi or Revolver) for rushes, a Katana for hitscan deflection, and a Permafrost utility to freeze a target before the shot. This is one of the kits in our best loadout for 1v1.
Your whole job is to never let anyone reach you. Use the rivals crosshair settings to tighten your aim.
Maps for the Sniper
Best: Construction (long lanes), Crossroads (central sightlines), Station (fast rotations to high ground). Worst: Onyx (tight corners), Bridge (narrow, close), Docks (vertical ambush).
The rivals maps tier list rates each map for range classes so you know when to swap off the Sniper.
Sniper Aim Tips
Pre-aim common angles, hold a lane, and reposition after every shot so you are never predictable. The rivals aim guide covers crosshair placement and flick discipline that the Sniper demands.
Because the mag is only 4, missing wastes a huge chunk of your damage window — accuracy beats speed here.
Fake Sniper Warning
Some tier lists invent a 'Heavy Sniper' with absurd stats. There is no Heavy Sniper in Rivals. The only sniper-class weapon is the Sniper (75 Keys, 150 crit). Any list ranking a Heavy Sniper is fabricating guns.
This wiki lists only verified weapons, so trust the tiers that match the in-game Shop.
A Warning About Fake Weapon Tier Lists
Before you trust any Rivals tier list, check the gun names. Several popular "tier lists" rank weapons that do not exist in the game. Rivals has 53 weapons plus 5 gamemode-exclusive weapons, and that is the entire arsenal.
These weapons are fabricated and are NOT in Rivals: Heavy Sniper, Pulse AR, Freeze Ray, Chainsaw, Battle Axe, cyber armor. If a list ranks a "Heavy Sniper", a "Pulse AR", a "Freeze Ray", a "Chainsaw", a "Battle Axe", or "cyber armor", treat the whole list as unreliable. Every weapon on this wiki is verified to ship in Rivals.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much damage does the Rivals Sniper do?
The Sniper deals 150 crit damage with a 4-round mag and costs 75 Keys, making it the highest-damage primary in Rivals.
Is there a Heavy Sniper in Rivals?
No. The Heavy Sniper is a fake weapon invented by some tier lists. The only sniper-class gun in Rivals is the Sniper.
What secondary goes with the Sniper?
The Uzi or Revolver. The Sniper is weak up close, so you need a fast sidearm to survive a rush.
Which map is best for the Sniper?
Construction and Crossroads, which have long sightlines. Avoid tight maps like Onyx and Bridge where the Sniper struggles.
